neon loves make-up. Eyeshadows, eye gloss, eye shimmer, lipstick, lip tint, lipliners, reverse lipliners, liquids, pencils, matt, high-shine, anti-shine, illuminating…. there is no end to make-up design, finish and results. We’d never heard of blinc but they have been around for ages, winning Marie Claire’s Best Waterproof Mascara in 2006. The award is thanks to their way of application, blinc does not paint lashes, it tubes them. The mascara forms tiny tubes around each individual lash and once applied the tubes bind to your lashes. The make-up cannot run, smudge, clump or flake even if you cry. blinc also offer an eyeliner, eyebrow mousse, eye shadow base, eyelash curler and a lash enhancer to promote growth. neon tried the mascara, primer and liner.

Tested
The three products were tested on a sunny holiday with lots of time lounging in the sun and frolicking in the pool *sighs*. The eyeliner has a great wand which made it very easy to get a defined flick and any mistakes can be easily removed with a bud before the line dries. The mascara didn’t give you the volume we are used to so it is worth using the primer first. This puffs up the lashes really well and they are then ready for tubing. Both products remained dark and defined all day even with a few small rubs when in the pool and topping up sun-tan cream on the face. Removal is easy with some cleanser or and wiping fingers gently in a downward motion popped the tubes off each lash. There is a huge advantage of this as once the tubes are off there is no mascara residue and it stops lots of wrinkle-enducing rubbing like with stubborn waterproof mascara.

Verdict
This is the best solution we have ever tried for those times when you need your eye make-up stay put; holidays, weddings, funerals, dates (and the morning after), long days at work, travelling …. but when also used with the primer blinc is great for daily use giving you the same results as any volumising mascaras. Highly recommended.
