Colum Egan the Master Distiller at the Old Bushmills Distillery has launched a global competition called ‘Make it 2 Bushmills’.

Founded in 1608 Bushmills is the oldest licensed distillery in the world, and for the first time in their history the distillery will be heading on a promotional tour.

Colum is offering two friends the chance to work alongside him for two weeks, to learn the skills of whiskey making that have existed in the Bushmills area for over 400 years. The competition winner will get the chance to create their own blend of whisky, receive £5,000 spending money and luxury accommodation for two on Ireland’s north coast.

Then Colum will pack up the best bits of the Old Bushmills Distillery to go on tour which will include a visit to the competition winners home country where their blend of whisky will be unveiled at a live music event.
