‘Control’ is the fourth single from Spoek Mathambo’s debut album Mshini Wan.

This cover of the Joy Division classic ‘She’s Lost Control’ is an amazing song with an exceptional music video released by the South African producer.

The video was directed by Pieter Hugo and Michael Cleary and explores township cults, street preachers and teen gangs. Shot on location in a squatted train boarding house in Langa, Cape Town it features a cast of local neighborhood kids.

Spoek Mathambo has been pioneering a progressive take on African music for the last few years via his DJing, solo and live band projects and with work like this we are looking forward to more.
