BE SOBER with Peter Spanton Beverages

February 8, 2012

So Christmas was boozy. Champers with breakfast, vino with lunch, digestifs after and then cradling favourite tipples through games, films and snoozes by the fire.

New Year’s celebrations were the big booze blow-out for cutting down in January and maybe beyond. We are now in February and like us you may not have managed sobriety.

Ex-alcoholic Peter Spanton who knows a thing or two about drinking saw the gap in the market for non-alcoholic drinks ‘that don’t make you feel like an underage teenager’. His new range of beverages are interesting, surprising and powerful on the tastebuds when you are used to the kick of booze.

Give these drinks a try and going soft might not be so …. difficult.

LOOK OUT for free DVD’s from Stella

August 5, 2011

Look out for free DVD’s from Stella Artois this summer.

As well as their on-going sponsorship of the Cannes film festival Stella Artois have long been associated with film and this year they have launched “A DVD with every pack” which offers a free choice of 40 films to those who purchase a case of Stella Artois. This offer is valid on 4% or 5% beer until the 31st August 2011.

James Watson, European Marketing Director at Stella Artois, said: “Stella Artois has a history steeped in film and we know that the people who love our brand also love great movies. We wanted to find a way to reward people this summer by bringing the best of cinema into their homes and our “DVD with every pack” promotion is our way of doing exactly that.”

Neon think this is a nice incentive to all those planning summer drinks and stocking up for barbecues. Drink while the sun is out and save the films for when it rains.

DONATE with Jean-Christophe Novelli

April 20, 2011

Jean-Christophe Novelli is fronting a campaign to help raise money for Cancer Research.

The chef is asking people to donate any unwanted good quality homeware goods to any Cancer Research shop in the UK. Novelli says: “Cancer Research UK’s homeware campaign is a great reason for people to clear out those forgotten items from around the house that they don’t need, whilst helping raise money for a great cause. I am delighted to have the opportunity to support this campaign.”

Simon Ledsham, Cancer Research UK’s trading director, said: “Cancer survival rates have doubled in the past 40 years and Cancer Research UK has been at the heart of that progress. Our work is entirely funded by the public, we receive no government funding for our research, and without items to sell, our shops can’t raise any money. So please – spring clean your home this April and donate to your local shop.”
