Jean-Christophe Novelli is fronting a campaign to help raise money for Cancer Research.
The chef is asking people to donate any unwanted good quality homeware goods to any Cancer Research shop in the UK. Novelli says: “Cancer Research UK’s homeware campaign is a great reason for people to clear out those forgotten items from around the house that they don’t need, whilst helping raise money for a great cause. I am delighted to have the opportunity to support this campaign.”
Simon Ledsham, Cancer Research UK’s trading director, said: “Cancer survival rates have doubled in the past 40 years and Cancer Research UK has been at the heart of that progress. Our work is entirely funded by the public, we receive no government funding for our research, and without items to sell, our shops can’t raise any money. So please – spring clean your home this April and donate to your local shop.”
Season Three of Californication is now available in the UK. The third season sees a departure from the debauchery of Season Two with the tragic death of Callum Keith Rennie’s character Lew Ashby who was the main protaginist of the debauched goings on.
This we felt was a smart move as the growing popularity of Callum’s character was beginning to overshadow that of central character Hanky Moody played by David Duchovny.
This season sees Hank’s best friend and agent Charlie Runkle as a single man after splitting from his wife. His character played by Evan Handler really increases the humour factor of the show with some hilarious scenes which make for great viewing.
A bizarre love triangle for Hank Moody which includes a teacher, student stripper and a University Deans wife alongside hilarious new characters Peter Gallagher who plays Dean Stacy Koons and Kathleen Turner who plays Charlie Runkle’s new boss Sue Collini help to make this another successful instalment of the show.

First published in Montreal in 1994, VICE Magazine began as a reaction against the gloss over grit style magazines of the 90′s and has grown into an international success story with offices in over 30 countries.
Commercial success in UK publishing doesn’t really go hand in hand with the kind of investigative journalism and risqué stories fearlessly published by VICE Magazine so success is a testament to UK editor Andy Capper and his team.
Whether you are new to the world of VICE Magazine or a hardened convert we recommend reading this collection of best articles from this irreverent and compelling magazine. The book is available from the 25th November with a cover price of £20.

Style blog split into two sections – Clothes or Cuisine. Both amazing images of highly creative food and clothing design – such as the edible crayons (pictured)
While compiling this list we spotted some similarity in colour and design of these sites. Neon wrongly assumed we would notice if our minds were being subliminally altered, reminding us of the important role colors play.
We take for granted how much our purchasing decisions are manipulated. We see this every day through brands such as Coca-Cola and Ikea – their bright bold eye-catching colours influence decisions to purchase merchandise by grabbing attention. Likewise pastel colours have the opposite effect by emitting an impression of calm to encourage comfort and once relaxed more likely to buy.
In the marketing section of Bizcovering an article reads; “pastels and neutrals typically appeal to an upscale audience, while primary colors appeal to children as well as older adults with less education or lower socio-economic standing”.

Liu Bolin is a 36 year old artist from Beijing who is making quite a name for himself recently by painting himself into backgrounds to become invisible…well almost. He has described his work as a statement about his place in society as he sees himself an outsider with his previous artistic efforts not being valued in China.
