FutureEverything will be arriving in Manchester in May for its sixteenth year, divided into Music, Art and Conference the event will showcase what is going on in creative new technologies.
The Music profiles musical pioneers and ground-breaking talent with gigs across the city and a festival-long music hub at the Umbro Design Space in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
The Art programme features world premieres, exhibitions and urban installations including some twisted transport courtesy of Agents of Change.
The FutureEverything Ideas see visionary speakers explore the interface between technology, society and culture. Among the topics for 2011 are what open data means for journalism, why games create new digital ideas and how participative media is spurring community engagement.
Check out this amazing video from FutureEverything 2010 where Agents of Change transformed huge wall at The Sharp project in Manchester for the Future Everything festival. The entire project was broadcast live on the internet, with clues to its location being gradually released, culminating in a public opening on the last day of the festival.
